Vragr is a group of users from around the world asking and answering questions, making statements, sending messages about anything they want.
Users can reach other users (known or unknown) via Vragr. Newbees can ask for help and experts can expose their knowledge. Bloggers can use Vragr as a micro-blogging tool. Groups or individuals can make announcements. They can by using Vragr as broker. "One asks, another answers ..." The possibilities are endless!
The key Vragr word is 'Channel'. All information is organized by an structured in Channels. N.B. Some prefer 'Channel', others 'Tag'. Use existing channels or create new channels by yourself. Meet other users with similar interests in a dedicated channel.
Channels are created or posted to by a channel prefix: @ [at sign] and the channel names themselves are allowed to contain aplha numeric characters (case sensitive) and the characters - [minus], . [dot] and _ [underscore]. This means that { } [ ] ; : < > , ? and / are not allowed.
A channelnames has a maximum lentgh of 20 characters.
N.B. 'show all channels' serves the index of channels that are ceated already.
Questions, answers, statements, reactions, etc. are submitted to Vragr as a post.
You can submit a post by entering a string in the text input box served and hitting the submit button.
Your post can be as long as 255 characters (@channelname.. string included).
UBB is not supported and HTML code is ignored by Vragr. However a string that represents a valid URL will be served as a hyperlink. Except for the limitations mentioned before there are no further restrictions for a post.
N.B. In order to be able to post to Vragr you must 'sign up' first.
Please pay special attention to the way you react on a post:
- We -the users of Vragr- will be very grateful if you use the same language when replying to the originating post.
- Be aware of the fact that questions or statements in English potentially have the largest audience.
Look for existing channels or posts by using 'Vragr simple search':
Submit a string that starts with a ? [questionmark] immediately followed by the keywords separated by spaces (at least 2) you want to search for.
Example: ?FirstWord SecondWord ThirdWord. More words allowed of course.
The search results are sorted by relevance.
Vragr serves the url of a number of feeds and OPML files. These feeds and OPML files contain what's happening on Grazr. The feeds ald OPML files available can be recognized by the well known rss and opml icons respectively .
